Either providing accommodation for a night or a month, accommodation providers must meet the needs of the customer as soon as they enter the door of their door. Types of accommodation providers include:

  • Hotels
  • Hostels
  • Service-station Motels
  • B&Bs and Guest-houses
  • Inns or Pubs

When working in hospitality, it is the responsibility of the employees to care for the customer throughout their stay and so promote the hotel or accommodation's services. With so many hotels, hostels and to choose from, it is the employees that will stand out and make the place somewhere where customers will want to return to.

Employment opportunities will differ depending on the type of accommodation and size of company, be it a chain or independent. Overall the job opportunities are vast, from catering to cleaning to managerial positions.
