Larger consumer/corporate companies will often have their own in-house creative services team to deal solely with the marketing side of the company. The team will be dedicated to creating, planning and handling marketing and PR services for the company and will call on a range of different employees to provide expertise and knowledge on a range of subjects. These sectors will normally be structured in a similar way to private agencies with different teams performing a range of functions.

The benefits of having in-house marketing in a consumer corporate company is that they will be able to provide marketing and PR services for themselves at a lower cost that seeking outside help. The company will handle all aspects of the branding which will often give them a greater advantage as the company will be able to build the image of the brand over a number of years.

Companies will often draw on social media platforms, such as blogs, social networking sites, Q & A and discussion forums to promote their service or product. A company is most likely to succeed if they are able to utilise digital space.
