Production assistants work on various aspects of marketing collateral production, from administration to creative tasks. They typically liaise with and assist teams, both internally and externally, including production and studio managers, designers, freelancers and printing companies. They monitor production schedules and help to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Much of the work will involve copy-checking, proofreading and editing to ensure consistency and accuracy of fact, spelling and grammar. Depending on the type of company, a production assistant might be responsible for writing copy updating web content, newsletters, blogs and other social media platforms.

Administrative duties are likely to include handling post and other correspondence such as email and answering the phone.
