MENTAL HEALTH NURSE

Required Qualifications

Generally, a minimum of five GCSEs grade C and above, followed by two A-levels will be required for entry onto a Nursing university course.

Courses typically last three years, beginning with a 12 or 18 month Common Foundation Course followed by an 18-24 month branch programme in mental health.

Working as a volunteer either during or after time at university is a very good way to gain first-hand experience before applying for paid positions.
